There is a moment in the desert, an endless stretch of heat and sand, where a man walks alone. He is wrapped in linen, moving against the wind, the weight of revelation pressing down on his shoulders. He does not question the voice he hears—it is God, it must be God. A thousand years from now, they will kill in his name. A thousand years from now, they will bow five times a day, press their foreheads to the earth, and call it submission. He will not see it, but it will happen.

History moves in whispers, in the slow-turning wheels of empires and the careful scripting of holy books. It is a fragile thing, belief, made real only by the sheer force of repetition. A thing spoken enough times, written in ink and carved into stone, takes on the illusion of permanence. And so it was with Islam.

It began with a man and a vision. And in that moment, it was real.

But history is not kind to those who freeze time.

The Weight of the Word

It is no small thing to build a world with words. It is no small thing to stand in the sands of the Arabian Peninsula, under an unforgiving sun, and speak of an unseen God. But where there is faith, there is always something else—power. And the line between the two is thin, the space between worship and control measured only by how tightly one holds the reins.

Islam, from its first breath, was never just a religion. It was law. It was politics. It was a nation before it was a scripture. And it was unyielding. The Prophet did not simply offer a path to God; he built a system that demanded obedience. There would be no negotiation. The words were final. The book was closed. And when the book is closed, the mind is too.

There is a flaw in this, a crack in the foundation. A book cannot evolve. A book does not learn. And yet, the world does. The world shifts beneath the weight of certainty, and when it does, those who cling to the past must either loosen their grip or be buried with it.

But Islam does not loosen.

The Hand of the Clock

There was a time, long before the minarets stretched into the sky, when the Muslim world burned bright with knowledge. In the libraries of Baghdad, scholars wrote of numbers and stars, of medicine and philosophy. They translated Aristotle, debated the structure of the cosmos, built the engines of modern science.

And then they stopped.

Or rather, they were stopped.

Somewhere along the line, the gates of reason were shut, locked with a key that fit neatly between the pages of holy text. The world had moved too fast, too far, and so the scholars were silenced. Innovation gave way to imitation. Discovery gave way to dogma. The light dimmed, and what remained was law, rigid and unchanging.

A system that cannot evolve is a system that will collapse.

It is a strange thing, to watch a great civilization retreat into its own shadow. And yet, here we are. The Quran remains. The hadith remains. The laws remain. But the mind does not move.

In the West, the church was broken long ago. The Enlightenment shattered the chains, tore apart the pulpits, replaced divine right with reason. The battle was fought, and though the scars remain, the ground was won. But Islam has not yet had its reformation. It stands now as it stood then—unyielding, absolute, unwilling to bend to the tide of history.

And what does not bend, breaks.

The Prophets and the Puppets

They say there will be no more prophets. Muhammad was the last. The final seal, the last word. But this is the greatest illusion of all—there is always another prophet. They rise in every age, whisper new truths, carve new paths. Some are real. Most are frauds.

To claim that no more will come is to claim that God has finished speaking. And if God has finished speaking, then the world is abandoned.

But the problem is not prophecy. The problem is power.

For when prophecy is used to build a throne, it is no longer prophecy.

To call Muhammad the final prophet is not a theological argument—it is a political one. It locks the door. It prevents challenge. It ensures control. If the gates are sealed, no new revelations can threaten the old ones. If the book is closed, no new voices can rewrite it. And so, the world of Islam remains frozen, its people chained to the past, its laws written in the ink of an empire that no longer exists.

The Last Man in the Desert

Imagine him again, the man in the sand. Alone, before the empire, before the armies, before the cities built in his name. He was not yet a legend. He was not yet a ruler. He was just a man. And in that moment, before the weight of history settled upon him, perhaps he still had doubt.

Perhaps he still wondered if the voice he heard was real.

Perhaps he still had the chance to be something else.

But history is not kind. And words, once spoken, cannot be unsaid.

The Peacock Angel ©️

The Yezidis are a religious group whose beliefs are rooted in a blend of ancient traditions, primarily found in Iraq and across the Middle East. Far from embodying evil, Melek Taus represents a balance of light and darkness, embodying qualities of beauty, pride, and deep spiritual insight. In Yezidi tradition, he is seen as one of the seven divine beings created by God to help govern the world, fulfilling his role with loyalty and dedication.

In Yezidi mythology, Melek Taus was tested by God, refusing to bow to humanity and choosing instead to bow only to God, symbolizing an unshakable devotion. Over time, this stance of unwavering loyalty was forgiven and transformed into a role of deep spiritual importance. Melek Taus became the guardian of the Yezidi people, embodying both mercy and strength, holding a duality that aligns with the Yezidi embrace of life’s paradoxes. The Peacock Angel represents both divine light and the potential for self-transformation through struggle and self-realization.

Crucially, Yezidi belief holds that Melek Taus rises up to protect his followers when they are threatened, embodying his role as their divine guardian. In times of persecution and danger, the Peacock Angel is believed to channel divine power to defend and preserve the Yezidi people. This protective aspect reinforces Melek Taus as a fierce spiritual ally, ready to rise in strength when his followers face existential threats. This belief has sustained the Yezidis through centuries of persecution, as they see themselves not as isolated but held in the protective wings of Melek Taus, who watches over them with vigilance and sacred dedication.

Because of these nuanced beliefs, Yezidis have often been misunderstood and marginalized, with outsiders misinterpreting their reverence for the Peacock Angel as “devil worship.” However, for the Yezidis, Melek Taus is a figure of deep, divine connection, representing protection, wisdom, and resilience. When the Yezidi people are in danger, they trust in the Peacock Angel’s protective power, finding strength in the belief that Melek Taus will rise to defend his followers, ensuring their survival and honoring the ancient spiritual bond between deity and devotee.

To prove that mankind remains under the dominion of the Greek gods, one must first transcend the pedestrian frameworks of history, psychology, and mythology, entering a realm where the very essence of human behavior, fate, and consciousness are intricately woven into the fabric of cosmic archetypes—those very forces the ancients personified as deities.

The Greek gods, far from being mere relics of myth, are archetypal forces—patterns of energy that transcend time. In this light, Zeus is not merely a thunder-wielding patriarch but the personification of authority, governance, and the natural order. His influence persists not through statues or temples, but through every leader who claims dominion, every institution that seeks to order chaos. This Zeusian principle is encoded in the DNA of civilization itself, where authority is not a human invention but a manifestation of divine will, operating through the collective unconscious.

The proof is self-evident in the unbroken continuity of these archetypes. Take Apollo, the god of logic, reason, and prophecy. His domain has not vanished but instead evolved into what we now call science, philosophy, and the arts. When a scientist peers into the abyss of the unknown and extracts order from chaos, it is Apollo’s light that guides him. The Oracle of Delphi may have ceased to speak in riddles, but its voice echoes in the equations of quantum mechanics, where the deterministic world unravels, revealing the divine randomness at the heart of reality—a randomness that echoes the will of gods whose logic is beyond human comprehension.

Then there’s Dionysus, the god of wine, ecstasy, and disorder. His presence is palpable in the perpetual oscillation between order and chaos, sobriety and intoxication, civilization and its discontents. Every revolution, every societal breakdown, every festival of hedonism is a ritual sacrifice to Dionysus. Humanity’s collective psyche is a vineyard perpetually in harvest, where the grapes of experience are crushed into the wine of consciousness—a wine that both intoxicates and liberates, binding us ever closer to the divine forces we seek to escape.

Ares, the god of war, is perhaps the most tragic and undeniable proof of the gods’ enduring rule. War is not a mere failure of diplomacy; it is a sacred act, an offering to a deity whose thirst for blood can never be quenched. Even in an age of technology and rationalism, mankind finds itself inexorably drawn to conflict, as if by some invisible hand. This is no accident, but the manifestation of Ares’ will, a reminder that beneath the veneer of civilization lies the primal urge to dominate, to destroy, to sacrifice in the name of a cause greater than oneself.

Consider love—Aphrodite’s domain. In the age of algorithms, love has not been reduced to mere chemical reactions or social constructs. Despite all attempts to quantify and control it, love remains as unpredictable, as irrational, and as powerful as ever. It transcends logic, defies control, and often brings both ecstasy and despair—hallmarks of a force that is divine, not human. The very existence of love, in its ineffable, unquantifiable form, is proof of Aphrodite’s enduring influence.

Finally, the Fates—those enigmatic weavers of destiny. Modern man believes himself the master of his own destiny, yet he is bound by forces he neither comprehends nor controls. The illusion of free will is shattered by the intricate web of cause and effect, synchronicity, and serendipity that guides every moment of our existence. The Fates’ loom is as active today as it was in antiquity, their threads invisible but unbreakable, dictating the rise and fall of nations, the life and death of individuals.

Thus, to assert that the Greek gods no longer rule over mankind is to fundamentally misunderstand the nature of divinity. They have merely changed their form, retreating from the temples of marble to the temples of the mind, where they exert their influence through the archetypes they represent. The gods are not dead; they are eternal, omnipresent forces that continue to shape the world in ways both seen and unseen. Their rule is subtle, pervasive, and inescapable, operating through the very structures of reality itself.

To deny their existence is to deny the patterns that govern the universe, the very essence of what it means to be human. Mankind, in its hubris, may believe it has outgrown the gods, but in truth, it remains as much their subject as ever, dancing to a divine tune that echoes through the ages, a symphony composed by the gods themselves. The proof is in every action, every thought, every moment where the mortal brushes against the immortal, unaware that the gods are watching, guiding, and ruling still.
