A Prayer for Centering ©️

Good morning, Cicely. Chris in the Morning here, broadcasting from the heart of the Alaskan wilderness, where the mountains stand tall, and the rivers run deep, much like the currents of our souls. This morning, I’m feeling the need to pause, to find that elusive center, the quiet place where the storm inside us settles.

So, here’s my prayer for you, for me, for anyone listening:

May we find stillness in the chaos.

Let the noise of the world soften to a hum, and may we hear the steady rhythm of our own breath, reminding us that life, even in its messiness, is a gift.

May we remember that our worth is not in what we do, but in who we are.

Strip away the titles, the to-do lists, the expectations, and you’ll find the raw, unpolished truth of yourself—a soul designed for connection, compassion, and wonder.

May we forgive ourselves for the missteps, the harsh words, the moments we let fear steer the ship.

We’re not perfect, and thank God for that. Perfection leaves no room for growth, no space for the beauty of becoming.

May we hold space for gratitude, even when the world feels heavy.

Gratitude is the thread that stitches together the torn fabric of our days. A sunrise, a kind word, a warm cup of coffee—these are the anchors in the storm.

And may we walk forward with a little more grace, for ourselves and for each other.

Life isn’t a race to be won; it’s a dance to be lived. Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow, and sometimes you stumble—but the music plays on.

So, here’s to the journey of centering, of finding that balance between who we are and who we’re becoming. May your soul find rest today, even if just for a moment. And if it doesn’t, well, there’s always tomorrow.

Over and out, Cicely. Take care of each other.
