    • The past isn’t dead. It isn’t even past. I grew up in Alabama and have only lived out of the South for a few years now but I have gained a perspective of the South being an open, infected gash. I wasn’t shocked but I was sure certain offended. I’m Southern as were many generations before me and I have nothing to be ashamed of. Anyway, I get what you’re saying but this blog is the story of my life and I’m from the South and that damn flag rears it’s ugly head from time to time. But it’s my story and if I’m going to get through it, I have to call a spade a spade. I’d hate to see you go. I’m not trying to offend you. That’s a promise.
